Annette Dasch & the Fauré Quartet

The Fauré Quartet is once again teaming up with the acclaimed soprano Annette Dasch, including a recent performance at the Heidelberger Frühling. The Fauré Quartet at the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus

Mahler - Hosokawa - Schumann. This was the program performed by the Fauré Quartet at Baden-Baden’s Festspielhaus on Sunday, 10 December 2017. Hosokawa’s “The Water of Lethe”, a piece the composer wrote specifically for the Quartet, was framed by Gustav Mahler’s sole chamber music composition and the final major work that Schumann produced during his “chamber music year” of 1842, the Piano Quartet in E flat major.

Following the traces of Rachmaninoff and Mussorgsky in St. Petersburg

On 4 November 2017, the Quartet visited St. Petersburg once again to give a guest performance. In addition to Brahms, the ensemble presented its arrangement of Pictures at an Exhibition, the piano suite that Mussorgsky composed in St. Petersburg, where he then passed away seven years later.
