The Fauré Quartet is once again teaming up with the acclaimed soprano Annette Dasch, including a recent performance at the Heidelberger Frühling. The theme of unrequited love permeates their joint work this time, which features Lieder by Gustav Mahler, the Wesendonck Lieder by Richard Wagner (in their arrangement for piano quartet and vocals), and the Werther Quartet in C minor op. 60 by Johannes Brahms. They also performed these works at two joint concerts in December, at the Herkulessaal (Hercules Hall) in Munich and in nearby Polling. There will be several opportunities to hear this program again in 2018, including performances at the Konzerthaus in Berlin, as well as in Dortmund, Duisburg, Flensburg, Eckernförde, Gauting, and other cities.
